But I swear, people just believe everything they read. Weed could quite easily have killed my whole family. I’ve actually never heard of alcohol, tobacco or caffeine killing someone, either - at least, not in the way that this post suggests (more often than not you’ll pass out before you can consume enough alcohol to kill yourself).

“Oh, but people drink drive!”

Yeah, people die driving stoned, too. People get hit by cars, stoned. People jump off of buildings, stoned. If you’re going to say alcohol kills people in that way, weed does the exact same thing. You can’t just change the rules for weed because you want it to look better. People die, on weed, in all the same ways that people die on alcohol.

It can give you mental illnesses, too, as psychiatrists have told my addict father (he’s now schizophrenic because of it). Naive kids online always seem convinced that that’s not true, but I’ll happily give you the psychiatrists number if you want it. There are three separate professionals who’ve said the same thing, even when my dad didn’t want to believe it. And this is why I won’t touch the shit. While I like the smell, I also really lose respect for people who do it a lot, brag about it/are proud of it, or post things like this defending it. You aren’t even considering what it’ll do to your family in 50 years if you take it regularly. My dad didn’t.

Take it from someone who’s family has been massively threatened by the stuff. It may not have killed anyone in my family, but it did rip our family apart, and because of it I grew up around a lot of physical violence. If you’re going to say weed isn’t bad just because it hasn’t influenced you negatively, you have a messed up sense of morality. No drug is good.

Agreed Alanah! These posts are so stupid, yeah bullshit pot doesn’t kill, and I guess cigarettes don’t kill people either then. Stupid ass stoners.
